Executive Producer - Norwegian Language Program
SBS Band 4 ($58,369-$63,176 pro rata)

2 year part time position, working 13 hours per week.

SBS Radio is seeking an Executive Producer for the Norwegian Language Program for the Sydney production centre.

The right person will be an effective communicator, fluent in Norwegian as well as in English and possess proven experience in creating innovative radio broadcasting. This role will be responsible for daily planning and ensuring the consistent quality of the Norwegian programme throughout the year. You will ideally have great attention to detail, demonstrated experience managing editorial content and programme budgets, and a flair for leading creative teams in a fast paced broadcast media environment.

The SBS Commercial Scheduling Team is seeking an experienced person to work in the position of TV Commercial Scheduler. The scheduling team works within the Commercial Affairs Department and takes responsibility for scheduling all national television advertising sold for TV and Online.

This full-time position represents a fantastic opportunity for an energetic, organised coordinator with excellent communication skills, a team-oriented approach and an understanding of, and passion for, the advertising industry.

At least 1 years experience working in a broadcast media sales traffic environment is essential, as is a meticulous eye for detail and a high degree of initiative. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.

Communications Specialist - News & Current Affairs

SBS is seeking to appoint a Communications Specialist with a background in in news and current afffairs to promote key news and current affairs programs to the media and the public.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting SBS programs and services, predominately in the news and current affairs portfolio, through planning and executing marketing, promotional and publicity activities that build and strengthen SBS’s news and current affairs brands. The position reports the manager of the News and Current Affairs portfolio in the Marketing divison.

We’re looking for someone with:

• a passion for news and current affairs

• contacts and relationships with key media and related organisations

• experience in planning and implementing marketing and/or communications campaigns through TV, radio, print and online

• highly-developed communication, organisational and negotiation skills

• the ability to work to strategic direction and manage a variety of programs and personalities

Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism, Media or Marketing are highly desirable.

Program Manager
Specified Period 3 years

SBS Radio is looking for a Program Manager in Melbourne to provide strong editorial guidance and direction to Executive Producers of designated language groups. In addition to monitoring the production of programs of specified national language groups, the Program Manager will ensure adherence to SBS Radio programming & editorial policies and guidelines.

The successful candidate will be able to ensure an integrated national approach to program making across the two SBS Radio Centres so as to uphold programming benchmarks through implementation of the Quality and Standards framework.

Other responsibilities include co-ordinating and monitoring the programme budgets of language programs; ensuring appropriate records are maintained to meet copyright and other relevant legal and SBS policy obligations; managing the performance of Executive Producers; contributing towards the achievement of Divisional objectives, SBS purpose and values and corporate goals.
