Megadeth, Anthrax join heavy metal cruise

Thrash metal groups Megadeth and Anthrax are the latest to join a heavy rock cruise headlined by Motorhead.

Thrash metal icons Megadeth and Anthrax have joined Motorhead's heavy rock cruise.

Motorboat will set sail to Key West, Florida and Cozumel, Mexico from Miami in September.

Dubbed "the loudest boat in the world", the cruise will also feature performances by Zakk Wylde, Danko Jones and Fireball Ministry.

Motorhead founder Lemmy Kilmister has promised a memorable boat ride.

"This will be everything you've come to expect from a night out with us, except even louder, with more great bands and no way of escaping," he said.

"If you thought waves could rock a boat, you've got another thing coming with this lovely little outing."

Megadeth's Dave Mustaine said the cruise is a novel way to listen to metal.

"This is the coolest way to ever see a metal concert," he said.
