Veteran Ivica Olic extends Wolfsburg deal

Veteran Croatia striker Ivica Olic has signed a second, two-year deal with German football club Wolfsburg where he's scored 22 goals in 61 league games.

Veteran Croatia striker Ivica Olic has extended his deal with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg to 2016.

The 34-year-old says in a club statement, "I'm very happy to have cleared up my future and that I will continue playing for Wolfsburg . It's great fun to be part of this team."

Olic, who has made 90 appearances for Croatia, joined Wolfsburg from Bayern Munich in 2012. In 61 Bundesliga games for the side he has scored 22 goals and set up 11 more.

He scored 13 goals in 55 league games for Bayern between 2009 and 2012.

Wolfsburg sit fifth in the Bundesliga, one point off Bayer Leverkusen in the last Champions League qualification place with three games of the season remaining.
